About Me

A woman hiking on a rocky mountain trail surrounded by green trees and mountains in the distance.

My Story

When the pandemic hit in 2020, I was living and working in Northern Virginia. After a few weeks alone in my apartment working remotely, I knew I couldn’t stay. I planned a short trip out West to visit family, just a month or two, I thought. When I left in May 2020, I fully expected to be back by the end of summer.

By July, I no longer had an apartment - or much of anything else. I sold almost everything I owned and headed back West with little more than a loose plan and a strong pull to keep going.

Since then, I’ve been traveling full-time around the Western U.S., moving up and down the Rockies, the Cascades, and the Sierras, exploring as I go. I live out of my built-out 2021 4Runner, small but mighty, and it’s carried me to more places than I ever imagined.

I love nothing more than being outside, whether that’s waking up in a quiet campsite or hiking into the backcountry with only what I need on my back. I spend my time driving from the Southwestern deserts in the winter back up to the Pacific Northwest each summer, and many places in between.
